Wendell and Betty Smith retire after 20 years
“We have enjoyed our association with Tyson and made many new friends that we treasure and will miss. To our regrets our health will no longer let us continue.”
Wendell and Betty had four houses with capacity of 80,000 chickens. Wendell serves on the board of directors for both Water and Gas and Farm Bureau in Bedford County.
They were presented with a wood carved chicken, which is great honor to receive (only retired growers are eligible). It’s made out of solid wood by a local carver in Shelbyville.
We congratulate Wendell and Betty and wishing them all the best.
